From Digital to Physical

Just a couple of days after the management team at Kinetic Group had seen a proofing copy of Kinetic’s Electric Energy for the first time and signed off on it, the digital files were carried on a drive to JAK Printers in Byculla, Mumbai. The team at JAK printers themselves had to go through all the print-ready PDFs, get them all aligned into formes, which would then be printed.

Seen here is Adil with the proofing copy standing next to the gigantic printing machines in a climate-controlled room at the printer’s HQ, which will be tasked with producing thousands of copies of Kinetic’s Electric Energy – the Story of India’s Original People Mover. This final step in the creation of this automotive history book is a momentous occasion, although we celebrated it with little to no fanfare.

But the proof of the pudding, as they say, is in the eating. Although all the editorial work is done, now begins the near agonising wait for the copies of the book to be printed and get prepped for its official launch, scheduled for the first week of August 2026.
