6 August 2026 marked the culmination of years of research, storytelling and collaboration as Kinetic's Electric Energy was officially launched at the Hyatt, Pune, in the presence of the people who helped shape one of India's most remarkable automotive success stories.
The book was unveiled by its author, Adil Jal Darukhanawala, alongside Dr Arun Firodia, Chairman of Kinetic Group, Dr Jayashree Firodia, Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Kinetic Group, and Arzoo Alamin, Director of Kinetic Watts & Volts. Together, they celebrated not just the release of a coffee table book, but the preservation of Kinetic's extraordinary journey - from pioneering personal mobility to embracing the electric future.

The launch brought together leading members of the automotive media from across the country, with representatives from many of India's foremost publications receiving their own copies of the book. Guests also had the opportunity to have their copies personally signed by Adil Jal Darukhanawala, Dr Arun Firodia and Ajinkya Firodia, making the occasion even more memorable. Adil regaled attendees with personal anecdotes of his experiences with Kinetic in the past as well as sharing a few choice stories from the book, albeit in brief.
Adding a deeply emotional touch to the evening were several of the personalities whose adventures are immortalised within the pages of the book. Among them were Anil Sirur (Sancho), Nataraj Iyer (Nutty), Arnab Banerjee (Banny) and Partha Chaudhari (Willy) -four of the legendary "Lunatix" who circumnavigated India aboard Kinetic Luna TFRs during the 1980s. Joining them were Neville Jal Darukhanawala, Adil's younger brother, and Koka Rahul Roy, two of the six riders who conquered the Sahara Desert on Kinetic Honda DX scooters. The gathering was further enriched by the presence of Zubin Patel and Rustom Patel, the brothers who forged an enviable reputation by winning numerous dirt races and rallies aboard Kinetic Honda DXs.
With industry veterans, media, Kinetic leadership and the real-life heroes of its history all under one roof, the launch of Kinetic's Electric Energy was far more than a book release. It was a celebration of innovation, adventure, engineering excellence and the people whose passion transformed Kinetic into one of India's most influential automotive names.
