The Home Stretch

After months of research, writing, editing, fact-checking, photo hunting and more revisions than any of us care to count, Kinetic's Electric Energy is finally entering its last stage before heading to the printer.

Today was one of those satisfying moments that make the entire journey worthwhile. Gathered around the computer (from right to left), author Adil Jal Darukhanawala, editorial coordinator Priyadarshan Bawikar and designer Sandeep Salunke himself went through the book page by page, making the final refinements to the InDesign files. Every caption, every photograph, every headline, every page number and every tiny alignment was scrutinised one last time before giving the files the green signal.

It may seem like a simple photograph of three people having a laugh around a computer screen, but it captures months of dedication, countless conversations and an unwavering commitment to telling Kinetic Engineering's remarkable story with the care and authenticity it deserves.

Coffee cups were emptied, checklists were ticked off and the occasional debate over a millimetre of spacing reminded us that perfection often lies in the smallest details.

The next stop is the printing press. After years of history brought together between these covers, Kinetic's Electric Energy is now ready to become a book that enthusiasts, collectors and generations of readers can finally hold in their hands.
